Our Trainee Buyers
Our Buying Team are responsible for placing orders, collating quotes, liaising with foremen, Contract Managers, Quantity Surveyor's and Suppliers. The role is varied and offers up the chance to gain skills in multiple areas alongside a wider understanding as to how the company operates.
Our Trainee Quantity Surveyors
Our Trainee Quantity Surveyors are the best in the industry. Why? Because they learn from the best! Here at MV Kelly, you will be guided by mentors with a wealth of experience in Surveying, alongside the option of sponsored study, for fast tracked career progression. You will finish the program with both a professional qualification and practical experience, preparing you for a successful career as a Quantity Surveyor with us.
Our Trainee Tech Coordinators
Forming part of our Technical team, our Trainee Technical Coordinators are involved in drawing revision sheets, reviewing reports on CCTV survey and reporting. The role is varied and provides the opportunity to learn a wide range of skills.
Our Trainee Engineers
As a Trainee Engineer you will collaborate with various departments to plan, manage, and assist with the construction of projects. Alongside gaining a wealth of knowledge from our experienced engineers, you will have the opportunity to complete sponsored study.

Meet Lucy, one of our Trainee Quantity Surveyors:
I started as a Groundworker at MV Kelly and then became a Trainee QS. Since then I have been promoted several times and am now a Senior QS. I have received a good training plan (including a University course), a very supportive team, and have always had fantastic colleagues around me. I would recommend becoming a trainee at MV Kelly to anyone.
I started as a Trainee Buyer in March 2024, coming off the back of a Groundwork Apprenticeship which gave me a great base knowledge of how the business works. The transition has been really good and the role is very varied - no two days are the same, which motivates me even more. I work within a 6 man team who couldn't have been more supportive of me.
During my time at MV Kelly my colleagues have always been supportive and encourage everyone to learn and push themselves. There are also options for training courses on areas I can benefit from which allows me to have a better understanding of different areas of my role. MV Kelly is positive and supportive in trying to get people involved with activities and interests.
