I started at MV Kelly as a Senior Quantity Surveyor and was supported by the company to become MD in 2009. I felt young (I was 35) but I was supported unconditionally by the other directors who recognised an ability and ethos that fell in line with their own. That ethos has continued over the years, and I know that we put the right type of person ahead of any other quality.

I joined MV Kelly in 2010 and would never have imagined that 14 years later I would have the privilege of being the CEO. I am passionate about trying to inspire and encourage those around me to be the best they can be, while striving to be a better 'me'. I want every person to be empowered to do their job while ensuring we are communicating expectation and aligning ourselves with our client needs.

My career started at MV Kelly when I completed Work Experience at 15 years old. By the age of 16, I had joined as a Trainee Buyer. Throughout my 11 years at MV Kelly, I have had the opportunity to progress through various departments with the support of my Managers and Directors. I now find myself as Commercial Director for the West Region, following a promotion at the age of 27. MV Kelly has given me many opportunities and as the company continues to grow, I strive to offer the same support as I have had over the years.”

MV Kelly continues to be a family company. We are extremely proud of the way the company has grown and what it’s become. We’re proud of the long-serving staff here and the way they do things. We want to continue to build the company’s reputation as one that gets things done and rewards those that work smart and hard to achieve great things.

When I started at MV Kelly as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor at 18 years old, I never imagined having a career in the construction industry would be for me. But, with the opportunities and guidance MV Kelly has given me, I feel empowered and motivated to be the best I can be. Being promoted to Regional Managing Director at just 25 is a huge milestone in my career and one I would not have achieved without the amazing support and encouragement from all my colleagues and Directors. There are so many great opportunities for hardworking individuals, and I would encourage anyone considering the industry to give it a go!

The variety of roles has provided me with valuable experiences that have shaped my career. Today, as SHE Operations Director, I reflect on the support I've received, as well as the opportunities for learning and development. My journey at MV Kelly has been built on hard work, dedication, and a drive to achieve great things.
